it's 1 am so here's my word splatter

Conflicted about tasks...I'm sort of cool with keeping the task requirement where it is. And I say this as someone who missed out on a couple of task rewards purely for not having enough comments (which, and I'll cop to this, I also blanked on the number for, or I would have prioritized them more). I'm down with putting in the commenting work to get the reward; that way, it's more rewarding to get there. But I agree that the more people taking on a task, the hairier things get. That's my $0.02 with absolutely no useful suggestion.

I know there are actually quite a few people here who are participating in their first murder game, though we have a lot of veterans as well. For me, it's been a huge ongoing exercise in time management and knowing what posts to focus on when. Of course the trial is going to be the most fraught part because it is so time-sensitive, and I think that's what caught up with us this weekend. My biggest trial issues mostly happened when things slowed down quite a bit and I didn't have evidence or an argument to offer but wanted to keep things moving without getting too distracting. Sometimes I was nervous about getting the entire trial through with but with no means of moving stuff along either. I also had a death in the family this week, which, since it happened on Friday, interfered with my ability to participate fully.

Finally, I'm fine with anything for the room searches. 6PM PST on Saturday is my preference, though, as that's a good time for me without running too late. Given that the trial today was really down to the wire, I think it's better to get room searches out of the way on Saturday. I can't imagine trying to search rooms AND conclude the trial on Sunday without everyone going batshit.
